Matthew Isaac Sobin is an author primarily focused on poetry, but his first book was the science fiction novella illustrated by the legendary artist Jack Katz. 

Matt grew up in Huntington, New York, and graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor's degree in history, with studies in astronomy and geology. He received an MFA from California College of the Arts.

Matt currently resides in California with his wife, who is a sculptor.

Steven Fish is a comparative political scientist who specializes in democracy and authoritarianism, religion and politics, and constitutional systems and national legislatures.  Fish writes and comments extensively on international affairs and the rising challenges to democracy in the United States and around the world. In addition to UC Berkeley, he has taught at the University of Pennsylvania and universities in Russia, Poland, China, and Indonesia.
