"THE PARADOX OF DEATH PENALTY."
In this video, we had a dialogue on the topic of the death penalty in the world. We recognize that people may have different perspectives and emotions about this issue, and we have aimed to explore the complexities of the death penalty and its impact on individuals and society. While the death penalty is a controversial topic, it still needs to be discussed. Professor Constance (Connie) de la Vega writes extensively on international human rights law and participates in United Nations human rights meetings. She has submitted amicus briefs detailing international law standards to U.S. courts for juvenile death penalty and affirmative action cases. She established the Frank C. Newman International Human Rights Law Clinic at the University of San Francisco School of Law, and is a founding member of Human Rights Advocates. Connie De la Vega is the co–author of The American Legal System for Foreign Lawyers (Wolters Kluwer, 2011), and International Human Rights Law: An Introduction (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2007.)
